MINSK, 22 January (BelTA) – Dairy plants and meat-packing plants in Vitebsk Oblast will get subsidies from the state budget for the sake of paying some of the interest on their loans. The relevant resolution of the Council of Ministers was published on the national legislation website pravo.by on 22 January, BelTA has learned.
The subsidies will be granted to Verkhnedvinsk Butter-Cheese Plant, Vitebsk Meat Plant, Glubokoye Dairy-Canning Factory, OAO Moloko, Orsha Meat-Packing Plant, Polotsk Dairy Plant, the Postavy dairy plant, and Glubokoye Meat-Processing Factory.
The money will be disbursed by the central state budget out of appropriations intended to cover miscellaneous aspects of agriculture. The subsidies can be used to cover part of the interest on the loans granted to finance routine operations.
The subsidies on loans in Belarusian rubles will be 30% of the refinancing rate of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus. Subsidies on loans in foreign currency will be 30% of the interest rate on the loan and limited to 2.5% per annum. The subsidies on foreign currency loans will be granted in Belarusian rubles.
