MINSK, 1 June (BelTA) - The fourth resident of the Minsk free economic zone has been registered this year. Seven Hills Logistics Bel will implement a project for the construction and maintenance of an industrial and logistics complex, BelTA learned from the FEZ administration.
“The multi-purpose manufacturing and warehouse complex will feature a high degree of mechanization and automation, where the share of manual labor will be minimal,” the FEZ said.
Investment in the project will amount to about $10 million.
FEZ Minsk was established in 1998. Over the period of its activity, FEZ has become a leading industrial center and has attracted investments to the amount exceeding $2 billion, has contributed to export of own products to the amount exceeding $12 billion, has created over 26,000 new jobs. FEZ Minsk has built and reconstructed 45 modern factories, developed the necessary engineering infrastructure. Today, the free economic zone is home to 116 residents. The main industrial sectors in which the FEZ enterprises operate are mechanical engineering and metalworking, automobile manufacturing, production of construction materials, electronics and printing.
