Minsk to hold Made in Belarus exhibitions in Georgia, Kazakhstan

MINSK, 8 February (BelTA) – Belarus is planning large-scale exhibitions “Made in Belarus” in Tbilisi ,Georgia on 20-23 March and in Almaty, Kazakhstan on 9-12 April, BelTA learned from the Belinterexpo exhibition company of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI).

As the exhibitions will be held in the run-up to the start of the spring planting campaign Gomselmash and Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) will showcase farm machines as they are in great demand in these markets.

The engineering section of the Made in Belarus exhibition in Tbilisi will also feature products made by Belkommunmash, Belarusian Steel Works, Minsk Motor Works, Brest Electrotechnical Plant, Mogilev Strommashina Plant, Mogilev Metallurgical Works, Keramin ceramic tile producer and the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim. The food and beverages section will feature the enterprises of the Belarusian food industry concern Belgospishcheprom, Borisov Meat Processing Plant No. 1, Stolbtsy Canned Meat Factory Cannery, Zdravushka-Milk dairy and others.

The list of participants in the Made in Belarus exhibition in Almaty will be as impressive. BelAZ will be represented by BelKazKomplektServis, its official dealer in Kazakhstan. Visitors of the exhibition will see the 90-tonne rock hauler with an electromechanical transmission BelAZ-7558. This model is successfully exported to the Republic of South Africa, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and Mongolia. The Belarusian engineering industry in Almaty will also be represented by BATE, Minskagroprommash Plant, Soligorsk Institute of Resource Saving Problems with Pilot Production. Household appliances will be offered by Horizont and Elektroapparatura.

Vitex and Belita will showcase perfumery and cosmetics. A wide range of food products will be presented by Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Factory, Baranovichi Dairy Plant, Slutsk Cheese-Making Plant, Belovezhsky Dairy, and others. Gomel Kristall jewelry producer will showcase items made of gold and natural diamonds.

Both exhibitions will run extensive business programs. Thus, the Georgian-Belarusian Business Council will convene for a meeting on 20 March. The business forum “Kazakhstan-Belarus: Prospects for Cooperation” and presentations by the participating companies will be organized on 9 April.

The applications for participation in the Made in Belarus exhibitions in Georgia and Kazakhstan are open till 3 March. The organizers are the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Belinterexpo exhibition operator. The events will be held with the support of the Embassy of Belarus in Georgia, the Embassy of Belarus in Kazakhstan, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Georgia, government bodies and business associations.

“The markets of Georgia and Kazakhstan are very promising for Belarusian exporters. Thanks to the proximity, absence of language barrier and a number of relaxed customs procedures between the countries, domestic producers find it easy to make new business partners and increase supplies of products,” Belinterexpo said.

Minsk held similar exhibitions in Astana, Kiev and Tashkent in 2017-2018. Traditionally, these events are coupled with a strong advertising campaign, business and cultural programs. All Belarusian participants are given access to the research of a certain market and a list of potential partners.
