Minsk National Airport passenger numbers up by almost 12% in January-August

MINSK, 11 September (BelTA) – The passenger traffic at Minsk National Airport increased by almost 12% in January-August 2019 as against the same period of last year, BelTA has learned from the website of the airport.

In August 2019 Minsk National Airport accommodated more than 592,600 passengers (up 9.7%).The total number of passengers exceeded 3,385,000 since the beginning of the year, which was up 11,9% year-on-year.

Last month Minsk National Airport handled 2,805 flights, which was up 7.6% from the same period in 2018. A total of 18,900 flights took off at the airport in January-August this year, up 9.4% year-on-year.

Minsk National Airport is Belarus' first international airport that has been certified for compliance with the international standard ISO 9001. The airport offers flights to over 40 destinations in Europe, the Middle East, and other regions.
