MINSK, 14 May (BelTA) - Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in the Chinese city of Guangzhou Andrei Popov met with Director General of the Office for External Relations of the People's Government of Nansha District of Guangzhou Mrs Zheng Huirong, BelTA learned from the Belarusian foreign mission in Guangzhou.
In the context of the memorandum of cooperation signed in October 2021 between the Sovietsky district of Minsk and the Nansha district of Guangzhou, the parties, in particular, agreed to hold a number of thematic online events with the participation of business of the two countries. Among other things, the parties a re set to discuss trade in food, technically sophisticated products, e-commerce and logistics.
The parties confirmed their commitment to promoting cooperation in science, technology and education, in particular in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, production of medical equipment, artificial intelligence and the use of the results of physical research in the production of industrial equipment.
Another route for rail container transportation was launched on the China-Europe-China route at the end of 2021, with the starting at the seaport in the Nansha district of Guangzhou.
