MINSK, 6 December (BelTA) – Minsk hopes that the situation with the compensation for the tainted Russian oil will become clear by the end of the year, Belarusian Prime Minister Sergei Rumas told reporters on 6 December, BelTA has learned.
According to the Belarusian premier, Belarus “hopes for some clarity in this matter in the nearest future”. “It is hard to say whether it will happen by the end of the year,” he added.
Sergei Rumas noted that the compensation for the tainted Russian oil was taken outside the framework of the talks on the integration road maps. “The compensation is a matter of another discussion. We have calculated the compensation amount, but I would not want to unveil it as I do not want to make the talks harder,” the head of government said.
