MINSK, 19 July (BelTA) – Belarusian Transport and Communications Minister Aleksei Avramenko has identified the tasks Minsk Civil Aviation Plant No.407 will have to accomplish in order to ensure effective performance. The minister also introduced Vladimir Pekarsky, the new head of the enterprise, to the personnel of the enterprise, BelTA has learned.
Aleksei Avramenko said: “It is necessary to prepare a long-term strategy for developing the enterprise, including the modernization of the production sites and the physical infrastructure.”
The transport and communications minister instructed to take measures to master the maintenance of new types of aircraft.
The minister also drew attention to the development of manufacturing cooperation. According to Aleksei Avramenko, now Minsk Civil Aviation Plant No.407 can occupy an important niche on the market. In particular, it is necessary to expand cooperation in the sphere of civil aircraft manufacturing with Russian enterprises and develop the production of Sukhoi Superjet 100 and MC-21 aircraft components in order to substitute imports.
Finishing the construction of a facility for stripping paint and painting aircraft and for their maintenance also remains a key task.
According to Aleksei Avramenko, taking into account the constantly changing situation it is necessary to use the aircraft plant's potential as much as possible in order to secure job orders for the short term and the long term. It is part of the enterprise's main task regarding the organization of profitable and lucrative work, timely payment of salaries, the transport and communications minister stressed.
