Minister: Russia ready to share with Belarus digital solutions in tax administration, other sectors

MOSCOW, 1 July (BelTA) – Russia is ready to share with Belarus digital solutions in tax administration and other sectors, Russian Minister of Economic Development Maksim Reshetnikov said at the plenary session of the 8th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia on 1 July, BelTA has learned.

“There are a number of proposals on the areas where we can step up our cooperation,” Maksim Reshetnikov noted. "First of all, Russia has certain digital technologies that we are ready to share. We are actively working on the project to implement the IT solutions in tax administration in Belarus. This is not just about IT-solutions, but the most advanced practices. Such developments are many not only in the tax administration but other sectors too. All of them are available for implementation."

According to Maksim Reshetnikov, Belarus and Russia are working on a common system for accounting the localization of automotive and special-purpose equipment. This Belarusian-Russian experience is then planned to be scaled up in the entire Eurasian Economic Union.

"Russia has adopted the legislation that will allow implementing such projects as driverless taxi, transportation of goods by drones, support for telemedicine technologies, big data processing. We are ready to share the results of these projects at the interstate level," the Russian minister added.
