MINSK, 23 February (BelTA) – The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange held a trial trading session in peat briquettes on 15 December 2022, Belarusian Energy Minister Viktor Karankevich said ahead of the ministry’s collegium meeting, BelTA has learned.
"The Belarusian commodity exchange sold the first batch of peat briquettes to foreign customers on 15 December 2022. Over the reporting period, the commodity exchange conducted 109 trading sessions and made 158 exchange transactions for a total tonnage volume of about 35,000 tonnes of briquettes," Viktor Karankevich said.
The minister stressed that the peat factories will continue working with the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange.
