Minister: Chechnya is interested in Belarus' manufacturing capacities

MINSK, 11 April (BelTA) – Chechnya is interested in the capacities of Belarus' manufacturing sector, Industry and Energy Minister of the Chechen Republic Adam Khakimov told the STV channel, BelTA informs.

“We have visited several large enterprises of the Republic of Belarus. These are Amkodor, MTZ, MAZ. These enterprises have long been known in Russia and all over the world. And, of course, we would like to study the industrial capacities of Belarus. We can say that Belarus is one of the leaders in this sector in the post-Soviet space and throughout the world,” Adam Khakimov said.

According to him, these enterprises can fill the void in the market of the Russian Federation. “And we, the Chechen Republic, offer our industrial infrastructure. Since 2019, we have been running a federal-level special economic zone specializing in industrial production. At today's negotiations we have reached an agreement that many Belarusian enterprises will come to our republic in May, and we we will make a kind of exhibition. We plan to formalize a number of projects on the sidelines of this exhibition,” the minister said.
