MINSK, 10 February (BelTA) – The manufacturing industry should maintain an unwavering focus on the upgrade of its capabilities, Belarus' Architecture and Construction Minister Ruslan Parkhamovich said as he visited Gantsevichi Plant of Large-Panel Housing Construction, a subsidiary of Brestzhilstroy, BelTA learned from the ministry's press service.
The minister was briefed on the production upgrade at the company. “Upgrade of manufacturing equipment is essential for any company and thus should remain a priority. The use of modern equipment, technologies and materials allows not only to improve the quality of products and ramp up output, but also to increase labor productivity and save energy, improve working conditions for people,” Ruslan Parkhamovich said.
The minister also discussed financial and economic performance of the company and its export potential, as well as working conditions of employees.
The minister also met with the company's staff to discuss the forthcoming referendum. Ruslan Parkhamovich told the employees about the main provisions of the draft amendments and additions to the Constitution of Belarus and emphasized the importance of participating in the upcoming nationwide referendum.
