Minister: Belarus' major goal is to achieve maximum with limited resources

MINSK, 21 December (BelTA) - The main task of the Belarusian state programs is to achieve maximum results with limited resources, Belarusian Economy Minister Aleksandr Chervyakov said at a regular meeting of the permanent ministerial commission on state programs on 21 December, BelTA learned from the press service of the Economy Ministry.

The meeting participants reviewed proposals to adjust the state programs Belarusian Forests, Housing Construction, Transport Industry and Roads of Belarus.

“The main task of state programs is to achieve maximum results with limited resources. This should be enshrined in each document. Any deviations should be explained: why it happened, what measures were taken to rectify the situation and continue moving forward. This is the position we will stick to. Otherwise, we will come to a situation where all state programs are recognized as highly effective, the tasks contained in them as implemented, while the program 2025 - not,” said Aleksandr Chervyakov.

According to the minister, the approaches developed with stakeholders to assess state programs will be submitted to the government and the head of state when amending Decree No.289.
