MINSK, 26 May (BelTA) - Belarus is always open to proposals for cooperation in business development, Minister of Anti-Monopoly Regulation and Trade (MART) Aleksei Bogdanov said at a meeting with representatives of Italian business on 26 May, BelTA learned from the MART press service.
The parties discussed cooperation between Belarus and Italy in production and sale of food products made of Belarusian raw materials using Italian technologies and recipes, investment in restaurant business, joint projects in oil and fat industry.
According to business representatives, Italians have a lot of competition inside the country, so they are interested in the Belarusian market. They see the potential for investment and joint projects in the production of food, light industry goods and services.
The participants of the meeting decided to continue the dialogue at the expert level with the representatives of Minsk Meat Processing Plant on production of sausages and meat products, Belgospishcheprom on bottling and sale of olive oil in Belarus, and the Association of Restaurateurs of Belarus on the issue of investment cooperation in the restaurant business.
