MOGILEV, 1 November (BelTA) – OAO MAZ, the managing company of the holding company BelavtoMAZ, and the Belarusian tire manufacturer OAO Belshina have signed a new roadmap on developing the lineup of tires for current and future MAZ vehicles, Belshina's press service told BelTA.
According to the source, the document was signed during BelavtoMAZ Director General Valery Ivankovich's working trip.
The public joint-stock company (OAO) Belshina comprises three tire factories that make large-size tires, mass market tires, and supersize tires as well as a mechanical plant, which provides equipment and tools for the main manufacturing division, a number of centralized divisions, and a rubber goods factory in the town of Krichev. Belshina offers over 400 tire models. It started batch production of about 70 new tire sizes in the last three years.
Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ trademark) is one of Belarus' largest mechanical engineering companies. It offers heavy-duty trucks, special-purpose vehicles, buses, trolleybuses, and trailing units. The company makes a total of over 500 models of tractor units, dropside trucks, and chassis for mounting various kinds of equipment.
