MINSK, 22 April (BelTA) – The Belarusian embassy in China in association with the Beijing-based company Psearcher arranged an online seminar on 22 April to highlight trade and investment opportunities in Belarus, BelTA has learned.
The event was timed to the Year of Regions of Belarus and China and gathered over 220 representatives of the Chinese private sector and the Belarusian one. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China Yuri Senko opened the seminar and held a presentation of Belarus' investment climate and specific projects for joint implementation.
Representatives of the administration of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone, the National Agency of Investment and Privatization of Belarus, the Foreign Economic Activities Agency of the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Ministry, the Belarusian dairy company Bellakt, and the Belarusian food concern Brestmiasomolprom made speeches during the online seminar.
During the seminar Chinese and Belarusian companies established direct contacts and actively discussed potential cooperation in the sphere of merchandise export and import. Investments in the Republic of Belarus were also mentioned. The embassy will continue organizing such seminars meant to promote Belarus' image in the People's Republic of China and advance bilateral trade and investment relations.
The seminar's partners included the China Chamber of International Commerce, the Guangdong Province Federation of Industry and Trade, China councils for the promotion of international trade of Shanxi Province, Heilongjiang Province, Hunan Province, Hainan Province, Gansu Province, and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the Hainan Department of the China Chamber of International Commerce, and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade of the city of Xian.
