MINSK, 25 February (BelTA) - Logistics companies of Belarus, Russia and Pakistan signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), BelTA learned from the press service of Belarus' logistics operator Beltamozhservice.
The document was signed by Director General of Beltamozhservice Dmitry Kovalenok, Director of Pak Shaheen Group Abdullah Farrukh, Deputy Director General for Development of the Russian container service operator NECO LINE Asia Alexander Bersenev.

Beltamozhservice hosted the negotiations to discuss the development of logistics with Pakistan. Attending the talks were also the heads of the largest logistics companies of Belarus, Russia and Pakistan, Belarusian Transport and Communications Minister Aleksei Lyakhovich and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Pakistan to Belarus Muhemmed Aejaz.
“New transportation routes and improved balance of goods supply between Belarus and Pakistan will help minimize logistics costs and increase trade between the countries,” Aleksei Lyakhovich stressed following the talks.
“The companies participating in the signing of the memorandum convey the ideas of the heads of state on the development of mutually beneficial cooperation,” Ambassador Muhemmed Aejaz stated.
“The signing of the memorandum is the basis for creating optimal logistics solutions for cargo delivery not only between Belarus, Russia and Pakistan, but also to a wide range of distant countries,” Dmitry Kovalenok emphasized.
