MINSK, 13 October (BelTA) - The Bellegprom brand is part of Belarus' history and we need to develop it, Nadezhda Lazarevich, whose appointment as the new Chairperson of the Belarusian state light industry concern Bellegprom was approved by the head of state on 13 October, BelTA has learned.
Nadezhda Lazarevich emphasized the development of the technological potential of the concern's enterprises. "We will introduce new technologies and build up the technological capacities of the enterprises. A lot depends on people. It is clear that in our country, everything is built on honest and open dialogue with the government. The head of state said that with a competent approach, his support will certainly be forthcoming as well. Therefore, we will work to develop this unique brand as part of our country's history,” she emphasized.
Nadezhda Lazarevich noted that Bellegprom is not just about tailoring. It involves collaboration with the Armed Forces, the beauty industry, and schools, for which the concern's enterprises also manufacture uniforms.

"Bellegprom is currently fulfilling the assigned tasks, but the industry is complex, so perhaps some new vision is needed. The tasks set by the head of state must be implemented in the shortest possible time. We will definitely work as a team. It was stated that Bellegprom might need some structural changes, some new manufactures. I am sure this is necessary," Nadezhda Lazarevich said.
She noted that the full range of tasks set by the head of state must be addressed. This also includes footwear, production of fabric and tableware. Nadezhda Lazarevich cited the brand of the Dobrush Porcelain Factory as an example. It must not only be preserved but also developed. "We can market not only products for household use. We have many restaurants and other sectors where we can branch out into,” she added.

On 13 October, it became known that Tatiana Lugina, who had until now headed Bellegprom Concern, will now lead OAO Kamvol. This enterprise is part of Bellegprom.
Tatiana Lugina believes that OAO Kamvol should work on its brand and marketing both domestically and internationally. She added that this is the key focus. "I think there's no need to convince anyone that the quality of Kamvol's fabrics and products meets the high parameters of any Belarusian clothing. However, we haven't yet managed to establish ourselves as a strong Belarusian brand. Furthermore, we need to understand which channels we can use to promote the brand in the domestic market and beyond the country's borders,” she stated.
“I have some thoughts on this matter. We have specific instructions, so we will get down to work,” she continued. “We must create growth points, our own trademark and brand, to gain our customer base.”
