Kyrgyzstan to host next meeting of Eurasian Intergovernmental Council

MINSK, 21 June (BelTA) - The next meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council will be held in Kyrgyzstan in August. The Council made the decision at the meeting in Minsk, BelTA has learned.

The meeting will be held near the famous Issyk-Kul Lake.

At the Minsk meeting on 20-21 June, the heads of government of the EAEU countries discussed the introduction of labeling of goods by means of identification in the EAEU, the setting up of a commission for cooperation and import substitution in priority and high-tech industries, a program of joint actions to protect consumers. The Intergovernmental Council heard the EEC reports on the regulatory impact of the Commission's draft decisions, competition in cross-border markets in 2021 and measures taken to curb violations of general competition rules, and also a progress report on projects within the framework of the EAEU digital agenda.
