Kyrgyzstan shows interest in Belarusian building technologies, materials

MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) – Kyrgyzstan’s ongoing social infrastructure construction has sparked a strong interest in Belarusian building technologies and materials, Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Communal Services Talantbek Imanakunovich told journalists at the international architectural and construction exhibition BUDEXPO in Minsk, BelTA has learned.

The minister expressed gratitude for the invitation to the exhibition and highlighted its significance. He also pointed out that his country hosts a similar event and would be glad to welcome Belarusian colleagues there. “In recent years, the construction level in our country has grown significantly, and its contribution to the GDP is increasing. At the moment, we are constructing 609 social infrastructure facilities. By 31 August, our Independence Day, we commissioned 100 facilities, including 70 schools and 30 kindergartens. Construction is the engine of economic growth,” Talantbek Imanakunovich said.

According to him, Kyrgyz representatives are highly interested in Belarusian building technologies and material manufacturers. “We are currently building stadiums and airports. That is why we visited certain Belarusian production facilities like ceramic tile factories, reviewed the materials we were interested in, and are already considering further cooperation. We intend to sign a memorandum, which will enable our organizations to work directly with Belarusian manufacturers,” the minister noted.
