MINSK, 14 April (BelTA) – On the instruction of the head of state, Chairperson of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova visited Minsk enterprises to get familiar with the production of personal protective equipment, BelTA learned from the press service of the Council of the Republic.
The speaker of the upper house of parliament visited OOO Stetskevich Group of Companies which manufactures uniforms and special-purpose clothing. In connection with the epidemiological situation, the company has switched to producing the most sought-after means of personal protection: reusable sanitary masks and protective overalls. These products are shipped to pharmacy chains, Belpharmatsia company and also the companies of the Transport and Communications Ministry, and the Belpochta postal service and other organizations.
The chairwoman of the Council of the Republic was updated on the production conditions and shipment of products. The opportunity to further ramp up the production of face masks was also discussed. Natalya Kochanova talked to the workshop workers, asked about their working conditions and salaries and answered their questions.
The chairperson of the Council of the Republic also visited Uniksfarm that had increased the output of medical face masks. Natalya Kochanova was briefed on the supplies of these products to the domestic market.
The speaker of the upper house of the parliament stressed that amid the difficult epidemiological situation Minsk companies need to mobilize their resources to meet the needs of organizations and people in individual protective gear. The appropriate task had been set forth by the head of state.
