IVATSEVICHI, 4 March (BelTA) - Ivatsevichdrev plans to triple the furniture production this year, the company's CEO Aleksandr Ilnitsky told reporters, BelTA has learned.
“2020 was not an easy year for the company, especially its first half with a lockdown in Europe. However, with the summer approaching we quickly managed to restore production. We didn't suffer revenue or profitability losses. We even earned a little more than we planned. We have outlined the growth targets, primarily in what concerns furniture production. We expect to ramp it up at least three times to €8 million this year," Aleksandr Ilnitsky said.
He added that the company continued to invest in the chipboard and furniture production. These facilities have switched to 24/7 operation.
“Exports accounted for 60% of the company's total industrial output. We have maintained this level for the last three years. We work constantly with 20 countries, our key partners being the EU and Russia. Our export policy is based on the 30-30-30 principle. Thus we shield ourselves against the fluctuations in individual markets. We worked hard to reach this goal for the previous five years and finally achieved it in 2019," Aleksandr Ilnitsky said.
Belarus President's Aide - Inspector for Brest Oblast Valery Vakulchik met with the staff of the Ivatsevichdrev woodworking company on 4 March. He hailed the company as a good example of effective modernization in the woodworking industry.
