Inflation in Belarus at 1.6% in April

MINSK, 11 May (BelTA) – In April 2022 the index of consumer prices for goods and services totaled 101.6% as against April 2022 and 111.1% as against December 2021, BelTA learned from the National Statistical Committee of Belarus.

In April the base index of consumer prices, which rules out changes in prices for individual goods and services susceptible to administrative and seasonal factors, totaled 101.3% as against March 2022 and 110.7% as against December 2021.

Prices for foods went up by 3.9% from March 2022 and by 11.8% from December 2021.

Prices for non-foods rose by 0.7% from March 2022 and 12.9% from December 2021.

In April prices for services went down by 1.3% from March 2022 and up by 7.4% from December 2021.
