MINSK, 10 July (BelTA) – In August 2020 the index of consumer prices for goods and services totaled 100.2% as against July 2020 and 103.8% as against December 2019, BelTA learned from the National Statistics Committee of Belarus.
In August the base index of consumer prices, which rules out changes in prices for individual goods and services susceptible to administrative and seasonal factors, totaled 100.9% as against July 2020 and 103.5% as against December 2019.
Prices for foods dropped by 0.6% from July 2020 and rose by 2.5% from December 2019. Prices for non-foods went up by 0.9% from July 2020 and 4.3% from December 2019. In August prices for services went up by 0.6% from July 2020 and by 5.4% from December 2019.
