Industrial cooperation and technological sovereignty seen as crucial for Eurasian Economic Union

MOSCOW, 13 December (BelTA) - Without industrial cooperation and technological sovereignty, the Eurasian Economic Union has no prospects for development, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Moscow on 13 December, BelTA learned.

Roman Golovchenko noted that Belarus sees industrial cooperation and technological sovereignty as one of the areas requiring the closest attention. “Without solving this problem, our union has no prospects for development,” he emphasized.

“To understand the importance of the industrial sector, it is enough to look at absolute figures: in January - September 2024, the industrial output in the EAEU exceeded more than $1.1 trillion,” the Prime Minister said.

“Accelerating the work on the program of subsidies from the EAEU budget for cooperation projects in priority industries is one of the tools for promoting industrial development, in our opinion,” Roman Golovchenko added.
