MINSK, 8 January (BelTA) – The One District-One Project list already includes more than 200 items, and their number continues to expand. The implementation of all projects will result in the creation of more than 10,000 jobs, Belarusian Economy Minister Yuri Chebotar said in an interview with the Economy of Belarus Magazine.
“The regions are actively involved in this work: almost half of them have two projects in their investment portfolio, every tenth – three projects each, while some regions of Minsk Oblast are implementing five or six production business ideas. Some 50 projects have been completed, and 123 more are planned to be finished by the end of 2025. For example, an enterprise has been set up in Mogilev Oblast to produce technical carbon to replace imports. It is an essential component to produce tires, plastics and polymers. Grodno Glassworks has launched the production of glass containers using innovative energy-efficient and resource-saving technologies. More than 100 jobs have been created. The new woodworking plant in Svisloch District will produce more than 250,000 cubic meters of timber using waste-free technology. Beryozastroymaterialy in Brest Oblast has started the production of high-quality large-format ceramic tiles,” Yuri Chebotar said.
All the projects help strengthen the economy of the regions and improve the living standards of the population.
