Great Stone Park reports record high number of resident companies in 2021

MINSK, 11 January (BelTA) – The Chinese-Belarusian industrial park Great Stone reported a record high number of resident companies in 2021, Belarus' First Deputy Prime Minister Nikolai Snopkov told the media on 10 January, BelTA has learned.

“In 2021, despite sanctions and a post-COVID period, we actually had a record high increase in the number of resident companies - 21 new businesses were registered in the park. Today there are 85 of them, including 43 from the People's Republic of China with a total investment of $1.2 billion. Despite all the difficulties of the world agenda and external pressure on our country, we see that Belarus and China continue developing mutually beneficial relations,” Nikolai Snopkov said.

In his words, Belarusian enterprises continue cooperating with large Chinese corporations and mentioned MAZ-Weichai as an example. The parties implement joint projects for production of automotive components and electronics. In addition, the Great Stone Park will actively develop cooperation in pharmaceuticals, in particular, in traditional Chinese medicine and production of the COVID-19 vaccine.
