MINSK, 21 March (BelTA) – The realization of government programs is supposed to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of citizens. Belarusian Deputy Economy Minister Tatiana Brantsevich made the statement at a session of the interagency commission on state programs, the Economy Ministry press service told BelTA.

The commission analyzed reports on results of realization of the government programs “Labor market and employment assistance”, “Education and youth policy”, “Mass information and book publishing”, “Resolution of emergencies”.

According to Tatiana Brantsevich, the realization of government programs should contribute to the improvement of the quality of life in the regions. It should create new opportunities for the self-realization of people.

The official said: “A lot of work has been done to build and reconstruct education institutions. Over Br30 billion has been invested in infrastructure over the course of three years. As a result, 67 new facilities have appeared in the regions, including 40 kindergartens and 15 schools. Another 55 facilities have been reopened after reconstruction. The state continued investing in effective employment and safe labor conditions. Over Br103 million was channeled into it in 2021-2023. Assistance with finding jobs in vacant positions, seasonal jobs and with ‘custom-made’ vocational training was granted to over 460,000 people. Close attention was paid to people with disabilities, people, who are about to retire, parents of many, and single parents.”

In her words, it is important to control the effectiveness of investments in the quality of life of people. “Because this money ensures social stability and creates prerequires for sustainable economic growth in the long term. This is why returns from it should be maximum,” Tatiana Brantsevich stated.
