MINSK, 13 October (BelTA) – Maintenance is an integral part of product quality, Vitaly Sheleg told journalists following his appointment as director general of the Belarusian agricultural machinery manufacturer Gomselmash by the head of state on 13 October, BelTA has learned.
The new head of the enterprise was asked about the machinery maintenance, which sometimes draws criticism. Answering the question, Vitaly Sheleg called it an integral part of product quality. “Quality is not only about a piece of machinery itself but also maintenance. One of the most important tasks is quality and maintenance. We will focus precisely on this area,” he said.
Journalists asked Vitaly Sheleg about his plans for the development of the enterprise and the tasks set by the head of state. “The president has clearly outlined the tasks that need to be accomplished. The first is product quality, as quality equals competitiveness,” Vitaly Sheleg said. “It is also about working in foreign markets. Today, the enterprise is in a stable condition.”

When asked about the share of Belarusian components in Gomselmash harvesters, Vitaly Sheleg stated that more than 95% of parts are locally manufactured. “They are manufactured in Belarus at the main site and by the affiliated enterprises that work within the framework of industrial cooperation inside our country,” he emphasized.
