Gomselmash helps launch driverless harvester production in Russian Tambov

MOSCOW, 22 March (BelTA) – Production of driverless harvesters has begun in the Russian city of Tambov with assistance of the Belarusian company Gomselmash, the press service of the Belarusian embassy in Russia told BelTA.

The Tambov-based company Titan has started manufacturing unmanned harvesters within the framework of implementation of agreements reached during a visit of Tambov Oblast Governor Maxim Yegorov to Belarus. The investment project is being implemented together with the Belarusian agricultural machinery manufacturer Gomselmash, the source said.

The project will increase the annual output of the main manufacturing facility up to 600 units of equipment and will allow creating 200 jobs. The investments will be close to RUB5 billion. The project will be implemented over the course of five years. The Tambov Oblast industry development fund will help finance the project on preferential terms. The project is aimed at substituting imported agricultural machines.
