MOSCOW 15 April (BelTA) – Belarus’ Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko invited Russia to increase investments in tourism and recuperation projects in Belarus as he met with his Russian counterpart Mikhail Mishustin in Moscow on 15 April, BelTA has learned.
“We suggest significantly increasing investments in infrastructure projects in tourism and recuperation in Belarus,” said Roman Golovchenko.
He remarked that Belarus is one of the most popular destinations among Russian tourists. “For example, last year, more than 1.1 million Russians stayed at our health resorts and hotels,” said the prime minister of Belarus.
“This number could be larger if not for the lack of accommodation,” he emphasized. “By now, almost all rooms in Belarusian health resorts have been booked for the second half of this year. Therefore, we invite Russian investors to fill this void.”
