MINSK, 11 November (BelTA) – Foreign investors poured $6.7 billion into the real sector of the Belarusian economy in January-September 2021, the National Statistics Committee told BelTA.
The investments mainly came from commercial entities in Russia (44% of the received investments), Ukraine (13.1%), and Cyprus (12.6%). Foreign direct investments amounted to $4.8 billion, 72.4% of all the foreign investments.
Belarusian organizations invested $4.1 billion abroad in January-September 2021. A considerable amount was invested in Russia (78.9% of the total outbound investments), Ukraine (4.3%), and Cyprus (3.1%). The share of foreign direct investments amounted to 93.8% of the total outbound investments.
