MINSK, 11 November (BelTA) – Foreign investors poured $5.3 billion into the real sector of the Belarusian economy in January-September 2022, the National Statistics Committee told BelTA.
The main investors in Belarusian companies were commercial entities of the Russian Federation (50.4% of the total incoming investments), Cyprus (17.7%), Netherlands (5.2%), and Ukraine (4%). Foreign direct investments amounted to $4.6 billion or 87.4% of the total foreign investments.
In January-September 2022 Belarusian organizations invested $4.2 billion abroad. Considerable volumes were sent to commercial entities of the Russian Federation (85.2% of the total outgoing investments), Ireland (2.6%), and Ukraine (2.2%). Direct investments accounted for 90.4% of the total outgoing investments.
