MINSK, 13 February (BelTA) – Foreign investors injected $7.7 billion into the real economy of Belarus in 2023, BelTA has learned from the National Statistics Committee.
The main investors were entities of the Russian Federation (66.7% of all incoming investment), Cyprus (14.7%). Foreign direct investment amounted to $5.8 billion, or 74.8% of all foreign investment.
In 2023, the country's organizations transferred $5.7 billion worth of investment abroad. Significant investment was made in entities of the Russian Federation (91.2% of total). Direct investment accounted for 80.1% of all investment directed abroad.
