MINSK, 13 November (BelTA) - Foreign investors injected $5.4 billion in the Belarusian economy in January-September 2024, BelTA learned from the National Statistical Committee.
The biggest investors were businesses from the Russian Federation (69.7% of all investments), Cyprus (7.8%) and the United Arab Emirates (6.8%).
The foreign direct investment was estimated at $4 billion, or 73.7% of all foreign investment.
In January-September 2024 Belarusian organizations invested $3.6 billion overseas. The bulk of it was injected in Russian business entities (90.2% of all investment).
The direct investment accounted for 79.9%.
