MINSK, 21 August (BelTA) – Belarusian Finance Minister Yuri Seliverstov made a few comments about the refinancing of Belarus’ state debt before a session of the Council of Ministers, BelTA has learned.
Yuri Seliverstov said: “As far as our external commitments to repay the state debt next year are concerned, those are planned figures. The sums are rather large. We will have to raise resources on the home market and will have to work on foreign markets to refinance these debts. I think we will put efforts into refinancing about 75% of these debts.”
A package of next year’s development forecast documents is being looked into at today’s session of the Council of Ministers. Those include drafts of the social and economic development forecast, monetary management targets as well as the central state budget and amendments to the Tax Code.
