MINSK, 7 December (BelTA) - Resident companies of Grodnoinvest Free Economic Zone (FEZ Grodnoinvest), engaged in mechanical engineering, exported $81 million worth of products in January-September 2021, up 1.4 times if compared to the same period last year. The export of computing, electronic and optical equipment doubled in the first nine months of the year, BelTA learned from the FEZ Grodnoinvest administration.
Nine mechanical engineering companies and seven metal-working companies operate as part of FEZ Grodnoinvest. Electronic and optical equipment is produced by Terrazit Plus and Zavod Optik. Electrical equipment is made by the Avtoprovod plant located in the industrial park of the free economic zone in Shchuchin.
Belcard and Radiovolna produce vehicles and equipment, Vektor, Smorgon Aggregate Plant, Biokom-Tekhnologiya and Grodno Trade Engineering Plant produce machinery and industrial equipment.
In January 2017, the FEZ Grodnoinvest resident company Terrazit Plus, under the Virpil Controls brand, launched serial production of virtual control devices for piston and jet aircrafts, helicopters, spacecraft prototypes.
