GRODNO, 19 August (BelTA) – The export of FEZ Grodnoinvest resident companies increased 1.5 times in H1 2021, BelTA learned from the administration of the free economic zone.
In January-June 2021, FEZ Grodnoinvest resident companies exported products worth $647 million, up 52% year-on-year. Russia accounted for 60% of the export, Poland 13% and Ukraine 9%.
“In addition, the export to the European Union has doubled. In January-June 2021 it reached $156 million. Deliveries to Italy, Egypt, the Czech Republic, France, Denmark, Germany, Great Britain, Estonia and Lithuania grew exponentially. The export to Belgium, Hungary, Georgia, Spain, the Netherlands, Latvia, the USA and Turkey doubled,” the administration of the free economic zone informed. Foreign trade surplus rose two times. The revenues of resident companies also increased to exceed Br2 billion, up 55%.
The FEZ Grodnoinvest resident companies export a wide range of products, primarily woodworking products and furniture, as well as food, chemical products, machinery and equipment, textiles.
