FEZ Grodnoinvest expands cooperation with Polish companies

GRODNO, 22 April (BelTA) - FEZ Grodnoinvest has signed a cooperation agreement with a Polish company, BelTA learned from the press service of the free economic zone.

“The head of the administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest Dmitry Rozhkov paid a visit to the Republic of Poland. The main purpose of the visit was to present opportunities for Polish business and study issues related to the implementation of investment projects in Grodno Oblast. The program of the visit included meetings with Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Bialystok Viktor Savchuk and management of a number of Polish companies. The Belarusian delegation presented investment, logistics, trade and economic potential of Grodno Oblast and the free economic zone,” the press service said.

A cooperation agreement was signed with i4-Mobile Sp. z o.o. Sp. k. The document will contribute to the effective economic interaction between the parties.

In 2021 the trade between the FEZ residents and Polish companies exceeded $266 million, up 147% from 2020. Since 2002 FEZ Grodnoinvest attracted $140 million of investments from Poland. Polish-capital companies successfully operate in the region in the sectors of building materials, woodworking and chemical production.
