MINSK, 6 February (BelTA) – Exports by the enterprises affiliated with the Industry Ministry to geographically remote countries rose by 36% in 2024 over the previous year, BelTA learned from the press service of the Industry Ministry of Belarus.
In 2024, the enterprises affiliated with the Industry Ministry made shipments to 67 countries, resumed exports to 15 markets after a halt in 2023.
The press service added that the Industry Ministry has been promoting cooperation with the most promising regions of Africa, Asia and Latin America as part of the effort to diversify sales markets. "Work is underway to improve the legal framework for cooperation to bring bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level," the ministry emphasized.
The Industry Ministry enterprises enjoy favorable conditions and prerequisites for mutually beneficial long-term cooperation with geographically remote countries. "This is facilitated by official and working visits, including at the highest level. In the furtherance of the agreements, the Industry Ministry has been consistently building work within the framework of working meetings at the level of experts, intergovernmental commissions and working groups,” the press service noted.
