Expert: Russian producers show interest in Belarus’ dairy technologies

MINSK, 1 March (BelTA) - Russian producers are interested in the best practices and technologies of the Belarusian dairy sector, Director General of Russia’s Institute of Milk Tatiana Nagayeva told the media on the sidelines of the international forum “Agriculture of Belarus. Dairy Farm” on 1 March, BelTA has learned.

“There is always something to see in Belarus. You produce a lot of milk, and it is of high quality. You are actively supplying milk to the Russian market. We follow our Belarusian colleagues, see that Belarus keeps building and upgrading its farms, introduces the latest technologies, which are of interest to us as well,” Tatiana Nagayeva said.

The Agriculture of Russia bus rally will be organized this year. “Representatives of the Russian Federation will visit Belarus’ five best enterprises as part of this event. We will get familiar with the lineup, take the best practices into consideration. I would like to note that Belarusian colleagues are also frequent visitors to Russia, participate in forums. They come not only to see, adopt the best practices and also share their knowledge. Such mutual exchange is enriching,” the company's director general said.

The international forum is taking place in Minsk on 1 March with the support of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry. The event has gathered heads, chief specialists and staff of agricultural organizations, industry management, representatives of science, suppliers of solutions for agro-industrial complex. The main theme of the forum is Smart Milk: People, Technologies, IT. The program includes up-to-date analytics, discussion of prospects for the development of dairy farming, effective farm management and personnel, automation, digitalization.
