MINSK, 21 October (BelTA) – The Eurasian Intergovernmental Council will next meet in Almaty, Kazakhstan on 2-3 February. The relevant decision was taken at the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Yerevan on 21 October, BelTA has learned.
The heads of government of the Eurasian Economic Union discussed sources and mechanisms for financing industrial cooperation projects, removal of obstacles in the EAEU internal market, and the development of the EAEU integrated information system.
The Eurasian Economic Commission informed the members of the Intergovernmental Council on the progress in preparing international treaties on the formation of common markets for gas, oil and oil products, the implementation of the main areas of industrial cooperation in the EAEU, the possibilities of participation of the EAEU countries in the functioning of the Russian industrial zone in the Suez Canal Economic Zone.
The Eurasian Intergovernmental Council also considered the state of mutual trade of the EAEU countries, joint projects on import substitution, the first package of EAEU activities in climate agenda, issues of distribution of paid customs duties between the EAEU states.
