MOSCOW, 12 May (BelTA) – In its trade and economic policy the Eurasian Economic Union will factor in the sanctions that Western countries apply against the EAEU member states, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Mikhail Myasnikovich told the media after a ceremony to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown solder in Moscow on 12 May, BelTA has learned.
“Victory Day, I believe, is a symbol of unity of the Soviet people. We in the EEC Board understand it very well because we still have to defend the interests of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union amid non-partner actions, challenges and threats that emanate from a number of foreign countries,” said Mikhail Myasnikovich. “We need the trade and economic policy and new regulations that could minimize unfriendly actions and the sanctions which are imposed against our member states in a completely unjustified manner. We do have a consolidated position on this.”
