Eurasian Economic Forum in Verona due on 28-29 October

MOSCOW, 12 October (BelTA) – The 14th edition of the Eurasian Economic Forum in Verona will be held on 28-29 October, Antonio Fallico, one of the organizers and the founding father of the event, Chairman of Banca Intesa and President of the Conoscere Eurasia Association, said at a press conference dedicated to the upcoming forum, BelTA has learned.

According to Antonio Fallico, the forum will be held in a mixed online/offline format. “The offline part of the forum will become possible due to the improved epidemiological situation in Italy. It is very important to be able to resume contacts interrupted by the pandemic,” he said.

The forum will be attended by members of governments, political and public figures, heads of big companies and financial organizations, diplomats, experts, journalists from different countries from the Atlantic to the Pacific. The forum will cover the most relevant issues of trade and economic cooperation in Greater Eurasia. Business meetings will also be held on the sidelines of the event.

According to Antonio Fallico, the emphasis will be placed on the economy that should adapt to the needs of society, as well as on social justice. The two-day program includes such important and relevant themes as “Development Strategy and Reliability of Energy Sources in the Global Ecological Transition”, “Greater Eurasian Partnership from the Atlantic to the Pacific: is it Possible?”, “Natural Gas and the Green Economy”, “Ecological Transition and Circular Economy”, “New Challenges and Opportunities for the Financial and Banking Sector in a COVID-19 Pandemic”, “Technological Innovation and Digital Transition as Driving Forces for Inclusive and Sustainable Socioeconomic Development”, “The Pharmaceutical Industry has shown Extraordinary Resilience in the COVID-19 Environment, becoming one of the Drivers of Economic Development. How long will this last?”

The Eurasian Economic Forum in Verona is organized by the Conoscere Eurasia Association and the Roscongress Foundation.
