Eurasian Economic Commission to present new mechanism in Minsk to finance manufacturing cooperation

MOSCOW, 17 January (BelTA) – The Eurasian Economic Commission will organize a presentation of a new mechanism for financing manufacturing cooperation in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in the Palace of Culture of Minsk Automobile Plant in Minsk on 22 January, BelTA has learned.

Member of the Board (Minister) for Industry and Agribusiness of the Eurasian Economic Commission Artak Kamalyan is in charge of developing and introducing the new mechanism. He will talk in detail about how a program on supporting multilateral projects will be implemented. Participants of the presentation will learn what criteria a manufacturing cooperation project has to meet in order to get financial support, what requirements borrowers and financial organizations are supposed to meet, what branches of the real sector are prioritized for providing this kind of support.

Representatives of government agencies, industrial enterprises, financial organizations, industry associations, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Belarus are expected to participate in the presentation. Enterprises and companies, which are interested in advancing manufacturing cooperation with partners in the Eurasian Economic Union, are invited to attend the event.

The regulation on selecting joint manufacturing cooperation projects in branches of the manufacturing sector and on providing financial assistance with their implementation by member states of the Eurasian Economic Union was passed by the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council on 26 October 2023.
