Eurasian Agroexpress project aims to expedite cargo delivery from Belarus to China

MOSCOW, 22 September (BelTA) - The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is working on the Eurasian Agroexpress project to speed up the delivery of agricultural products, official representative of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Iya Malkina, told a briefing for the press in Moscow on 22 September, BelTA has learned.

“The task of the Eurasian Agroexpress project is to provide accelerated delivery of agricultural products from Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia to China and Uzbekistan. The delivery of frozen products is also possible,” Iya Malkina said.

A directorate in the form of an autonomous non-profit organization Eurasian Agrologistics has been set up for the integrated management of the project. Its participants are Bremino Group (Belarus), Russian Railways Logistics (Russia), Slavtrans-Service (Russia), and KTZ Express (Kazakhstan).

“We are looking into the issues related to the expansion of interaction with China, building a logistics chain of delivery, and increasing the export of agricultural products of the EAEU by rail. The full-scale launch of the project will take place after all the necessary documents are approved by the EAEU bodies,” the EEC representative said.
