MINSK, 2 October (BelTA) – An enterprise to assemble municipal vehicles based on chassis made by the Belarusian automobile engineering company MAZ was opened in the Ukrainian city of Kremenchug. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Ukraine Igor Sokol took part in the ceremony, BelTA has learned.
It is the tenth joint venture that has been established so far. This one was established thanks to MAZ's cooperation with OOO Alfateks. About 70 jobs have been created as a result. The Belarusian embassy in Ukraine noted that OOO Alfateks is intent on making a broad range of municipal vehicles.
While in the city the ambassador also met with top officials of the Kremenchug Development Institute and with representatives of the private sector. The sides discussed matters of trade and economic cooperation between regions of Belarus and Ukraine.
