MINSK, 2 July (BelTA) – The Belarusian Energy Ministry is interested in implementing projects together with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in order to create energy infrastructure for free economic zones. Belarusian Deputy Energy Minister Vadim Zakrevsky made the statement as he met with Head of the EBRD Office in Belarus Marina Petrov, the ministry's press service told BelTA.
Participants of the meeting discussed matters concerning current cooperation and sketched out promising avenues of interaction in power engineering. Vadim Zakrevsky confirmed the Energy Ministry's interest in continuing the constructive dialogue and in further joint work on projects to create energy infrastructure for free economic zones.
In turn, Marina Petrov noted that the EBRD is ready to hold a number of consultations soon in order to prepare the necessary package of loan documents.
