MOSCOW, 27 April (BelTA) – At a briefing for the press in Moscow on 27 April official representative of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Iya Malkina spoke about the projects being developed in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) to substitute goods from the so-called sanctions list, BelTA has learned.
“First, the work on the implementation of the EAEU interstate programs is underway. In addition to the project in the space sector, we can mention the interstate energy program and the Eurasian information and computing infrastructure, which will soon be ready for implementation. These programs, of course, envisage the development of import-substituting industries,” the EEC representative said.
“Secondly, the EEC has formed the EAEU Industrialization Map, an inter-industry, cross-country information database for import substitution in the union. It will help the states and businesses to take into account the accumulated production potential for the formation of cooperation chains,” Iya Malkina said.
She also mentioned the work to adopt necessary documents for the formation of the EAEU commission on cooperation and import substitution in the priority and high-tech sectors of the economy.
“Special attention in the Eurasian Economic Union is paid to cooperation in civil aircraft building. This matter was discussed on the sidelines of the international exhibition “Innoprom. Central Asia” in Tashkent. Artak Kamalyan, Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Industry and Agriculture of the Eurasian Economic Commission, said that a list of aviation components for the MS-21 import substitution program has already been prepared,” Iya Malkina said.
