MOSCOW, 10 December (BelTA) – Member of the Board (Minister) for Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Andrey Slepnev named the countries with which the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is preparing to conclude free trade agreements, BelTA has learned.
Speaking at the press conference, the minister noted that such agreements are already in force between the EAEU and Vietnam, Iran, Singapore, and Serbia. Agreements with the United Arab Emirates and Mongolia, signed in 2025, are currently undergoing ratification.
“Regarding Indonesia, we expect the agreement to be signed at the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in St. Petersburg literally next week, precisely at the end of next week,” stated Andrey Slepnev. “Internal preparatory procedures are still underway in several countries. Once all steps are complete – what we call the ‘six keys’, five from us and one from Indonesia – we will be able to sign the third agreement this year.”
He added that the free trade agreement between the EAEU and Indonesia will be an ambitious one. “It will be our largest partner to date, with a population of 250 million and a rapidly growing economy. The opportunities are very promising,” the EEC minister emphasized.
“According to our estimates, 94% of our total exports will enter duty-free. In the medium term, we expect our supplies to increase by $2-3 billion annually,” Andrey Slepnev projected.
