EEC Council to consider roadmap for free movement of goods in Eurasian Economic Union

MOSCOW, 24 November (BelTA) - The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission will consider a roadmap to create the conditions for the unimpeded movement of goods in the Eurasian Economic Union. Its meeting with the participation of deputy prime ministers of the EAEU member states will be held in Moscow on 2 December, on the sidelines of the Eurasian Congress organized by the Eurasian Development Bank, official representative of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Iya Malkina told a briefing for the press on 24 November, BelTA has learned.

“The agenda of the EEC Council meeting includes a roadmap for expanding cooperation in the civil aircraft industry and a roadmap to create the conditions for the unimpeded movement of goods to the EAEU," Iya Malkina said. “The council is also set to discuss changes in the procedure for considering complaints about the violation of the general rules of competition in cross-border markets. In addition, the deputy prime ministers will also get familiar with a program of events to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the EEC in 2022."

The Eurasian Congress itself, which will be held in the 57th pavilion of VDNKh in Moscow, will discuss the increasing role of business, development institutions and public-private partnership in unlocking the potential of the EAEU, key infrastructure interstate projects in transport and logistics, the water and energy complex, food security, the sustainable development goals, green financing mechanisms and ESG-projects, digital transformation.
